green climate roof
The future has already begun...sometimes it's just about thinking further than the horizon!
... when the roof becomes paradise, a secret garden, an oasis for relaxation and at the same time a raised bed for self-sufficiency with fresh vegetables and herbs.

A green urban life innovation for the roof gardens of the future - which has already begun.

Light - varied - comfortable - energy-saving - environmentally friendly. At the same time, this type of roof garden offers a high cooling effect for buildings.

Can be ideally combined with PV systems

Natural air conditioning
through facade greening
plants as a "smart" building envelope:
The rising temperatures and the heat radiated from the facades prevent the necessary night-time cooling in the cities. This has a negative impact on the well-being of the population. A high level of energy and technology is required to provide cooling, but this does not solve the basic problem.

The influence of green facades on the microclimate has been scientifically proven and is now an integral part of urban planning.

With the natural effect of evaporative cooling through countless plants in connection with stainless steel (Premium System® by green-urban-life), the temperature of building envelopes can be reduced by up to 12° Celsius, and the temperature in the interior falls accordingly.

Thanks to the individual creative and technical possibilities, green-urban-life can include local parameters such as "urban heat islands", fine dust values, wind loads, etc. in the planning and thus find the optimal solution for every building.

Using plants as part of the architecture and for building cooling is complex and requires many years of experience, research and development.
The green-urban-life team has been dealing with this topic for more than 18 years with the topic of "vertical garden architecture" and systems for facade greening.

Johannes Leitner is the founder and managing partner of GREEN URBAN LIFE GmbH, based in Hartberg/Austria.As a studied artist with a focus on “art in architecture”, he worked internationally in Sydney, Tokyo and Berlin. In 2000 he began to conceptually deal with the design of city parks and urban landscapes. In the meantime, he and his team have been able to implement more than 200 national and international projects.
